What if there was no such thing as money?

What if we did away with money all together? What if you could go to the store and get the stuff you need and there were no cash registers, just people doing check outs to track stock for renewal of the stuff being bought? I know people will resist this suggestion, and come up with many reasons they believe money is necessary, but I suggest considering other  civilizations which never have used money, who couldn't even fathom the idea of being in debt, because we are all ONE (like the many cells of our body work together to form our human form,) and how we work together and are mutually supporting of each other benefits us all.
