What Is Really Important?

I don't want to get into a debate about whether there are good people and bad (evil) people. That wouldn't serve any good purpose. What does serve a good purpose, is to pay attention to how we are expressing in this reality/world. Are we being kind and considerate to ourselves and others, or are we being hurtful and treating others with malice and hatred? Or are we wavering somewhere between those expressions?

From my personal point of view, it is more important to me how I am being, and how I am expressing in this reality, than how someone else is being and expressing in this reality. Why is that? Because, I can't control someone else's reality, how they express and how they are being. Only they can do that. So, with that in mind, I have come to realize the effort I expend upon self betterment is far more rewarding than trying to make someone else follow my lead.

If I am sincere and true to my divine expression, others may choose to follow my example, but that is totally their choice, as we each have a free will and the ability to make up our own minds as to what we can and can not do, or what we will or won't do.

By the choices we make, we guide our steps upon the path of life, and how our life unfolds, is revealed to us with each step we take.

A person who doesn't know their own part in the manifestation process, may attribute what happens during their life journey to outside forces, and so long as a person is not awake, they will likely be on "default settings" which are more like being on a ride rather than being the driver. The default settings for this world as it is expressing now, is that people think they are separate from each other, they have their own body, their own feelings, their own likes and dislikes which are expressions of their individuality.

So long as one operates that way, the currents of life expressing dictate the course life takes and therefore the path could be good one day, and awful the next. And in the default setting, one is likely to react to what life offers rather than act. A reaction is a triggered response base upon the external stimuli. A person who acts, considers the external stimuli, then consciously chooses how to act.

One has to be fully present in the Here Now Moment by Moment unfolding in order to act consciously and make wise decisions.

Without a guide, someone who knows the way, the choices we make are a trial and error method of expressing. Try it, and see what happens, then try something else and see what happens. If one has a destination in mind, he/she can decide based upon those experiences which way to go. Such a path can be very long and challenging.

Did you learn to ride a bike when you were young? If you did, did you do it all alone, or did someone who knew how to ride a bike help you to learn?

The thing is, a teacher can show you the way, but you have to walk the path to get there.

Where is the teacher we each want and may need? Within.
This is were meditation is very useful because it enables us to be still and awaken to the still small voice within, the voice of our divine SELF, the eternal, ever present, unified expression of our being.

Okay, that was pretty long. I could go on, but it is likely that very few will read all of this.

Blessings to us all.
