Spiritual Awakening: Finding and experiencing the best version of our Self.

In this moment, right now, I am experiencing being here now. This experiencing of this moment right now is uniquely my own experiencing. That is to say, how I feel emotionally and physically, what I see and how I see it, what I smell as I inhale, and how it feels as I exhale, are uniquely my own experiences in this moment. In this “normal” state of awareness in being, there are a lot of adjectives which describe the sensory inputs which color our expression and experience in being here now. (The Merriam-Webster online dictionary has this to say about adjectives: “. . .Adjectives describe or modify—that is, they limit or restrict the meaning of—nouns and pronouns. They may name qualities of all kinds: huge, red, angry, tremendous, unique, rare, etc.”)

Most likely, the word qualities we use to describe our “normal” state in being, do not necessarily and always reflect the ideal or optimal state in being in this moment by moment unfolding. Whatever these qualifiers are, it is our intention to align them, to attune them to the best version of our self expression that we can in this here now moment by moment unfolding.

The meditation process is a process where we sit quietly, with eyes closed, in a comfortable posture, relaxing and breathing comfortably. In doing so, we shift the qualities in our here now moment by moment unfolding, limiting the sensory qualifiers so that we avail ourselves to this purer experience of our being. And in experiencing this state in being, we more fully identify and embody IT. We must experience our own perfection in order to know this perfection exists. Without first hand experience, the ideal state of our being and expressing, are just concepts to intellectualize about.

So, in meditation, the objective is not to become something, or someone who we are not, but rather to uncover, expose and experience who and what we truly are. This ideal expression in being may be described as our “God Self,” which we are able to experience only in this here now moment by moment unfolding. Identifying with our God Self first, then seeing our expression in physical form as (insert your name here,) secondly, aligns our attention and expression in being with our perfect, ideal state in being, which then has an effect upon our secondary identity and experience in and as this secondary identity of (insert your name here.)

Through continued experiencing of our God Self, the out picturing of our physical, secondary identity expression exhibits the divine traits and attributes of our ideal expression in being. And this continues until the secondary identity fades away so we fully embody our Divinity as our God Self in form and expression.

So, the awakening process isn’t to become something else, but rather to identify with and express our Divinity in each moment by moment unfolding, and in so doing not only uncover and experience our own perfection, but see and experience this perfection reflected in our world environment as well.
